Profile Details
Each profile type consists of 7 different criteria, each with 2 opposite traits. Everyone is unique and will possess tendencies towards all traits, but will often be more inclined towards one over the other.
In some instances, a player will enjoy both traits equally and be considered balanced on that criterion.
Competitive
This criterion reflects the level of importance that winning is to our enjoyment. Those who simply love the experience of playing are For Fun and those who seek the thrill of winning are For Glory.
Approaching Challenger
You love the competitive nature of video games. When you come home after a long day, nothing hits the spot quite like a death match. You'll still dabble in the campaign, but your eye is always drawn to that multiplayer option on the main menu.
Players
This criterion demonstrates our preferences for playing with others. Those who enjoy taking in all a game has to offer by themselves are Solo and those who love the experience of interacting with others are Multiplayer.
Reinforcer
You appreciate a good single–player game, but playing with others is where you find yourself more often than not. Whether it's hanging out with friends online or crashing castles together on the couch, an invite received is an invite accepted.
Challenge
This criterion underpins our desire for difficulty, or lack thereof. Those who play for the experience, not the frustration, are on the Easy spectrum and those who always take the road least traveled will be on the Hard side.
Limit Breaker
If you aren't being tested to the limit at every turn, then you aren't truly enjoying yourself. You thrive on tackling the most difficult challenges and proving to yourself and others that there is literally nothing about a game that can take you down.
Creativity
This criterion illustrates how we progress. Those who forge ahead with purpose and direction are Practical while those who wander and find their own objective are Experimental.
Clear Cutter
You crave games that drive you forward with purpose and direction. Getting lost in the weeds with no objective or being bogged down by hundreds of side quests is just not where you want to be. But with a focused task and a tight storyline, you're thrilled to get your hands dirty.
Strategy
This criterion determines how we approach a situation. Those who carefully gauge the situation before acting are more Planning oriented while those who react and adjust on the fly are more Spontaneous.
Astral Planner
Some call you the General, the Mastermind, the Invisible Hand. Are you evil? No one knows. But you’re always thinking ahead in every game you play. Your hands are a blur across the keyboard as you command an entire battlefield. You can see it all and you will never be caught unprepared.
Immersion
This criterion depicts what aspects of a game we are absorbed by most. Those who sink into the feel and flow of the gameplay are Mechanic–focused and those who are swept away by the world and its characters are Story–focused.
Tale Spinner
Inventive gameplay mechanics can bring your experience to the next level, but you play games almost exclusively for their story. Regardless of whether that story is given to you or created by you, you find a well–crafted narrative to be a deeply enriching and rewarding journey.
Pace
This criterion shows how we prefer engaging with our games. Those who savor the moment and take their time are on the Slow side and those who want to progress and make decisions are Fast.
Stargazer
You tend to drift toward games with a slower pace, like sprawling open world games or smaller simulations. You play those fast–paced shooters and platformers occasionally, but there's a special place in your heart for games that let you savor the moment.
